Arnstein Eknes presents a paper on Safety Vs Risk, Here he shares with us the formula of Risk that is = Probability and frequency. In this presentation Arnstein tells us that safety does not rest with the ship or the vessel alone, it also rests on the people on board the vessel. Arnstein also gives us the various class of societies that pass a vessel and different class for different types of vessels. In this presentation Arnstein tells us that ‘Risk’ is a probability to happen and what happens after that is the consequences. Arnstein also gives us an indepth of Oil and Gas exports from Terminals. Operations of PSVs in the Artic region was presented in this paper.
