World Ports and Trade Seminar - Part 03
From 28-30 March 2011, ADNEC- Abu Dhabi hosted the very first World Ports and Trade Summit, an event that has been launched to focus the attention of business professionals involved in the development of ports and associated industries. Panel discussion on industry fundamentals: Chaired by broadcaster Tim Sebastian, the panel will be tasked with debating the answers to key questions such as: As the world economy moves out of recession how will the recovery influence the pattern of trade? Will intra-Asian trade show the most significant growth in 2011, driven by economic growth in China and India? Given the massive order book for new capacity for the major bulk and container trades, how will the major freight markets perform? Presentations by Dr. Giyas Gökkent, Chief Economist, National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and Farouk Soussa, Chief Economist, Citi.
